What my service consists of from A to Z.

Whether you want to buy land for speculation, for farming or to build a house on, it all starts with buying the land. First of all we talk about your plans and wishes, which we can discuss in a first meeting. After this I can start my search for the right piece of land.

In Costa Rica some sellers will be asked to do an offer. These offers together with my advise will be reported back to you. This will usually take around two weeks.

If there's no match, we will conduct a new seach until we find the right lot for you. If we do have found land that you're interrested in, we take the following actions.

We start with an investigation on the ground if it is indeed for sale, and if your wishes fit in the development plan of the municipality. When the results of the investigation are positive, we can request for the papers of the piece of land and have the cadastral survey make an official map of the land. After this the municipality is requested to make the land ready to sell. This means the municipality there are no depts connected to the land. All this should take around two weeks.

At this point the ownership of the land is ready to be transferred. A lawyer in Costa Rica, Mr. Juan Carlos Armijo (Notario Publico) will then make up the necessary documents. Only after these documents have been signed and the land has been paid for, the land is yours. Signing and the financial transfer have to take place on Costa Rican soil, which is a great opportunity to personally take a look at the land before placing a signature. This all will only take one day.

What I have discribed here above is only approximately what will take place aquiring a piece of land. Due to the different plans clients might have, It is impossible to give an exact discription on the actions neccesary to be taken when building a house or growing a plantation.

This will be made clear when we discuss your personal wishes.
